After peeing tonight, Owen flushes the toilet, leans in really close to the bowl/water and says “See you soon, water!” We laughed.

Here I am again, long time no post. Owen is now 3 years old. Well, 3 years and 4 months. He’s such a big boy and reminds me of this everyday. He LOVES to help…..anything from dishes to laundry to car repairs to scooping the swept up dirt. I’m going to post some of the latest pictures I have of him. With a little description of each….

Hope everyone enjoys the update about Owen….I’ll try to not take so long with my next post!

All the faces of Owen……and finally, one that he makes quite often when Ariana’s bugging playing with him……….

Since the warm weather has come upon us Owen and I have taken to stopping at the park on Monday and Wednesday mornings, after walking Ariana to school. He does everything by himself (except the swing and if he could do it himself I’m sure he would also say “self, mommy, self”), including climbing up to the top of the climber and going down the twirly slide (at the end he says “super-fast mommy!”). We could go to a park 10 times a day and he would still want to go more. This kid loves being outside.

April brought the end of a good year with Owen’s babysitter Amanda. He said goodbye to 2 friends, Logan and Rebeka too. The distance was too much and we decided to find a new daycare for him to go to. Amanda was great to Owen and us and we will forever be grateful to her for making his days away from Mommy and Daddy so great.

Owen had some fun this Easter, with egg decorating with his sisters and cousin, egg hunt with Ariana at home and then later another hunt at the RBG (Royal Botanical Gardens). He seemed to understand that there was chocolate in the eggs for him to eat but not that the Easter bunny brought everything for him….oh well, next year maybe?!

Owen was lucky enough to meet TC, the Tiger Cat mascot at the Walk for Memories (Alzheimers Society) event at the mall. He was so excited and kept chasing him around. He has never been scared of any such “animals” or “people” and generally runs up to them all for a hug or high-5.

It’s been a long time to not post about the life of a 2 year old. I want him to be able to read this blog when he’s older and know what was happening in his life. I’ll try and back up a little and post a few stories from the past 5 months!
